It ends tonight The Stage of Happiness, the cultural event that for four evenings transformed Piazza Mazzini into a large open-air theater. A free and participatory initiative that elegantly combined culture, entertainment, civic engagement and music, involving citizens, tourists and special guests.
The grand finale is entrusted tonight at 9:30 p.m. to Ron, beloved singer-songwriter of Italian music who will perform in the concert Al centro esatto della musica. This is a special occasion to bid farewell to an audience that has packed the square every night in an atmosphere of celebration and sharing.
The program had opened on Friday, July 25, with Waiting for the Prize: an evening dedicated to the presentation of the finalist books of the City of Viareggio Prize. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of awards to three stars of Italian entertainment celebrated for their contribution to Italian popular culture: Carlo Conti, Giorgio Panariello and Leonardo Pieraccioni. Leading the evening was TG1 journalist Monia Venturini.
Saturday 26 was the turn of the announcement of the winner for fiction, in an evening hosted by Monia Venturini and Paolo Mieli, with the participation of actor and comedian Riccardo Rossi, who drew smiles and applause.
On Sunday 27 the stage was lit for solidarity with the evening The gesture of giving, which featured the main associations active in the area: ADMO, AIDO, AVIS, Red Cross, FIDAS and FRATRES. Moments of emotion and reflection accompanied by the Giuseppe Pardini municipal band and the Donne Incanto choir, sensitively led by Claudio Sottili.
The entire review was made possible thanks to the support of Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca, Fondazione Banca del Monte di Lucca, iCARE and 2Tecno, with the aim of enhancing culture and promoting moments of encounter for all citizens.
The Stage of Happiness closes today with a more than positive balance sheet: an event that has been able to speak to everyone, between words, music and shared values. An invitation to come together, year after year, to celebrate together the beauty of living.
