Italy certainly has no shortage of wonderful places to admire breathtaking sunsets . In fact, the vastness and variety of its coastal landscape offers the opportunity to witness different sunsets even without moving far.

There are countless beaches that offer the opportunity to contemplate perfect sunsets, below we try to suggest just a few very special ones.

In Sicily, on the island of Marettimo, the westernmost of the Egadi Islands in the province of Trapani, we find the beach of Cala Nera.

The island of Marettimo is an unspoiled place between sea and sky, where nature is the protagonist. Here you can admire spectacular sunsets without any human intrusion into the landscape.

In Puglia, not far from Santa Maria di Leuca in the province of Lecce, we find the beach of Marina di San Gregorio.

A natural cove surrounded by cliffs, which radiates its splendor at sunset thanks to the sun’s rays lapping the coast and radiating out to the sea.

Also in Apulia, in the province of Bari, we find the coast of Polignano a Mare.

Extremely impressive at all hours of the day for its almost suspended landscape, Polignano a Mare becomes especially fascinating at sunset, when the setting sun colors the sky with vivid brushstrokes.

In Lazio, on the island of Ponza in the province of Latina, we find the Bay of Chiaia di Luna.

This well-known beach on the island of Ponza owes its name to the crescent shape of its inlet. The white sand shoreline and the very high tuff cliffs give the landscape an unmistakable appearance and a fascinating setting in which to admire fantastic sunsets.

In Tuscany, on the island of Giglio in the province of Grosseto, we find the beach of Giglio Campese.

Located on its northwestern coast of Giglio Island, the beach is known for its red sand and immediately deep sea. The sun warms it all day long, and its location makes it the perfect place to enjoy a memorable sunset.

In Sardinia, on the Costa Paradiso in the province of Sassari, we find Cala Li Cossi.

A completely unspoiled cove surrounded by high, jagged rocks. Cala Li Cossi is quiet and secluded enough to give you the feeling of being out of the world, especially at sunset.
