Summer 2025 is more convenient and sustainable than ever on the Gargano: the long-awaited Umbrella Train, FerGargano ‘s initiative that combines rail transportation and beach services to make travel to the sea easy, affordable and relaxing, is back.
Starting June 16, 2025 until the end of the summer, every day you can reach the beautiful beaches of Rodi Garganico and San Menaio by train, choosing from a range of affiliated lidos that offer umbrella, sunbed and deckchair included in the price of the trip.
The mechanism is simple: those traveling by train to one of the locations involved will be able to present three travel coupons from the same day at the ticket office to obtain a free coupon entitling them to a fully equipped seat at the beach.
It is an idea designed to promote more sustainable tourism, encourage the use of public transportation and ease summer traffic congestion.

For the Lido Ponente, simply show your tickets, strictly from the same day you are requesting the promo, directly to the lido management.
The initiative is a perfect example of smart tourism, which enhances the area’s resources by offering a service that is accessible to all, reducing the number of cars heading to the coast and encouraging a gentler enjoyment of the Gargano landscape.
