From July 26 to Aug. 3 in Riccione jazz will be the protagonist. Italian and international artists will perform in Piazzale Ceccarini offering a different show every night.
Opening Riccione Summer Jazz on July 26 will be a concert by the Billy Cobham Quintet. Cobham reached the pinnacle of success in the mid-1970s and is still considered one of the best jazz-fusion drummers for his power and percussive technique.
On July 27, Patagarri, the revelation group of X Factor 2024, will perform, bringing their live The Last Wheel of the Caravan tour to Riccione. The date will be the only date of the festival to be held on the Olivetani Park stage with paid admission.
On July 28 it will be the turn of the Myo Orchestra, which will bring to the stage the young talents and musicians of the Mondaino Youth Orchestra together with Stefano Bedetti and Nico Gori.
On July 29 Francesca Tandoi, one of the most highly regarded jazz pianists on the international scene, will perform.
On July 30, Paolo Fresu and Omar Sosa will play, bringing to the stage an extraordinary concert designed to celebrate the partnership between the Sardinian trumpeter and the Cuban pianist.
On July 31 it will be the turn of famous names in the Italian music and cultural scene: Andrea Mingardi and Marino Bartoletti.
On Aug. 1, the great French musician and composer Michel Godard will take the stage along with Tino Tracanna and Francesco D’Auria. Godard, an interpreter of classical and jazz music, is one of the very few tuba soloists and probably the only soloist on serpentone, the tuba’s ancestor instrument.
Internationally renowned trumpeter Hermon Mehari will perform on Aug. 2, while on Aug. 3, Stefano Di Battista, an acclaimed Italian saxophonist who has won a starring role in the international jazz world, will close the festival.
