Saturday, July 26, 2025, the Carnevalöa Summer Edition, the event organized by theOld Loano Association, with the sponsorship and contribution of theDepartment of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano, in the province of Savona, returns to Loano.
Beginning at 9 p.m. until midnight, Corso Roma will be transformed into a large open-air stage where the colorful and imaginative floats that have characterized recent editions of the Winter Carnevalöa will parade.
Among the protagonists of the parade:
- The fairy tale carriage – Prigliani Group
- Inside Out 2 – “Crazy Stuff” group from Dante Street.
- Until mother-in-law separates us – “New Village Inside” group
- Friendly Bees – Meceti Group
- Don’t worry be hippie – Matétti Burdelûzi
- Beauty and the Beast – Upper Gazzi Group No Stop
Kicking off the parade will be the traditional Clock Tower and Palazzo Doria float, on which the historic Ligurian and Loano masks will parade:
- Captain Fracassa
- U Beciancìn, King of Carnival and official mask of Carnevalöa
- U Puè Peppin, a traditional Loano mask
- Princess Doria of the Castle
There will be no shortage of the friendly and unfailing Beccian Car, the original watering can-shaped car emblematic of Beciancin.
The procession will start from Mazzini Square, cross Corso Roma to Cadorna Square, and then return in a journey filled with music, colors and smiles.
The festival will be accompanied by the overwhelming energy of Canta e Sciuscia, an internationally renowned Italian folk band, who will engage the audience by marching along the entire route.
Special guest of the evening will be Massimo Morini, frontman of Buio Pesto, who will present to the audience the new Carnevalöa anthem sung in Ligurian dialect.
In addition, from 10 a.m. until midnight, Loano’s waterfront will host themed markets with stalls dedicated to crafts, costumes, typical products and carnival gadgets.
