Italy is a mosaic of breathtaking landscapes and spectacular coastlines, perfect for immortalizing and sharing. For your photo tours, we thought of creating a marine itinerary from north to south, choosing super-instagrammable coastal locations, perhaps less well-known than others, but just as impressive.
1. Liguria – The sheer colors of Manarola in Cinque Terre.
Cinque Terre is a timeless classic. Manarola, in particular, is one of the most photogenic villages in Italy: pastel-colored houses, blue sea and sunsets that look like paintings.
Top shot: From the path above the marina, looking at the village at sunset.
2. Friuli Venezia Giulia – The relaxed elegance of the North Adriatic in Grado.
Grado is an often underrated gem but perfect for those who love the balance of history and the sea. The historic center, lagoon and tidy beaches provide an elegant and peaceful setting.
Top shot: From the pier at sunset, with boats in the background.
3. Veneto – The symbiosis of nature and the sea of Albarella Island in the Po Delta.
A place surrounded by nature, golden beaches and wild landscapes. The island is perfect for minimal and relaxing content.
Top shot: Cycling along the boardwalks by the sea.
4. Emilia-Romagna – The historic harbor of Cesenatico.
In addition to beach life, Cesenatico offers super Instagrammable urban glimpses such as Leonardo’s Canal Port. A mix of traditional and contemporary.
Top shot: The illuminated harbor at sunset.
5. Tuscany – The crystal-clear water and unspoiled nature of Cala Violina in Maremma.
A cove surrounded by greenery, reachable only on foot. Cala Violina is famous for its sand that seems to play when you step on it and for the intense colors of the sea.
Top shot: Top view with drone or from the main cliff.
6. Lazio – The Mediterranean whiteness and turquoise waters of Sperlonga.
An elegant, bright village with sandy beaches and clear waters. The historic center with the dominant white color is perfect for chic shots among the alleys.
Top shot: From the observation deck above the beach.
7. Campania – The authentic and wild Marina di Camerota in Cilento.
Less crowded than the Coast, Marina di Camerota offers unspoiled views, beaches among the rocks and fiery sunsets.
Top shot: Cala Bianca or Cala degli Infreschi with clear water.
8. Puglia – The sculpted cliffs and fluorescent sea of Torre Sant’Andrea in Salento.
Near Otranto, this corner of Salento offers some of the most spectacular scenery in Italy: white stacks emerging from an emerald green sea.
Top shot: Panoramic view of the stacks.
9. Calabria – The Caribbean views and towering cliffs of Capo Vaticano.
A natural terrace overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, with white beaches, crystal clear sea and spectacular sunsets. Less crowded than Tropea, but just as photogenic.
Top shot: From the top of the cliff or from the sea by boat.
10. Sicily – The natural staircase on the endless sea of the Scala dei Turchi in Agrigento.
An exceptional iconic place, where the crystal blue of the sea is in stark contrast to the white of the cliff smoothed by wind and sea so much that it seems hand-carved.
Top shot: At sunset, with the cliff illuminated by golden light.
Italy awaits you with its seaside wonders ready to be immortalized. And you, are you ready to build your most photogenic summer album ever?
